There won’t a new comic this week and possibly next week as well. I’m on vacation and it’s not as easy for me to create the comics at home right at the moment (that will change).

Also, don’t forget the contest to design a new logo, it ends the 31st. So far I’ve received 0 entries, so it’s possible that all you have to do is enter to win!

Contest!

I’ve been thinking about redesigning the logo for the comic and since I’m only so-so at art and design, I’ve decided to start a contest for the best reader contribution. There’s even a prize!

The rules:

1. Logo must be the same approximate size as the existing one (310×105)
2. The logo text must remain as-is (subtitles are acceptable)
3. Transparency should be used where appropriate
4. Font(s) should be free to use without restriction
5. Acceptable formats: PNG, SVG, XCF, PSD, EPS
6. You may enter as many times as you’d like
7. Entries must include contact information (email at minimum)
8. Contest ends 12/31/2006

The prize:

1. The comic of your choice, signed by me, mounted and framed
2. Your name and URL will be prominently posted on this site

Obviously, if you win I’ll need an address to mail the prize to but you don’t have to include that with your entry. Also, as I’m not famous, the frame will constitute the majority of the value of the prize, but it’s an easy way to get a new frame!
